LEFT-WINGERS like Bob Crow and those from the far-left Trade Union scene who came before him like to pretend that they are standing up and representing the ordinary man. They aren't.
Just like Arthur Scargrill, Crow's platform - which has today seen him spearhead a strike on the London underground - is not populist, it's selfish. Crow and his communist cronies use their political ideology to trash the country to put forth their own politically motivated of anti-capitalist beliefs. The average traind river wage is more than £37k, a fair old whack. But this isn't enough for Crow and his gang. Well that's fine, as long as Crow realises that his following is far smaller than even Nick Griffin's equally extreme cult.
That's right: Bob Crow, man of the people, man of the workers, headed No2EU's London list in the Euro Elections. What did he get? A paltry 17,758 "comrades" backed Crow. That 1% of the vote compares to Nick Griffin's racist cult scoring 4.9% of the vote in London, with 86,420 votes.
Crow has no mandate for his power from working people. Him and his mates don't represent anybody but themselves.
